Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while vowing implementation of all MoUs signed at the Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit 2018 here, has highlighted four major 'Ps' that should be imbibed in a state for its progress.

"Potential, Policy, Planning and Performance leads to progress", the Prime Minister said at the event as he launched 'Nivesh Mitra' application, here, on Wednesday.

Nivesh Mitra is the the single-window digital portal clearance, an online platform to submit, access proposals to the government. The information about the proposals will be provided automatically through SMSs.

Slamming the previous governments for non-implementation of MoUs signed with the companies, PM Modi said, "I will take personal interest in all the agreements signed here and will make sure that they all are realised."

PM also heaped praises on Uttar Pradesh by mentioning all the resources that the state has and their maximum utilisation. The PM has said that UP is the number one state in terms of productivity of natural resources.

He said, "UP ranks number one in the country in production of foodgrains, wheat, sugarcane, milk, potato production while stands second in terms of vegetable production and third in terms of fruit production. This is the power of the state."

  • This summit could happen at such a large-scale needs a huge applause and I would like to congratulate the leadership and the people of the state for this achievement.
  • The earlier atmosphere of fear in the state had not only affected the people but also the investors but Yogi government has brought a positive environment in the state and has laid a foundation for new a UP.
  • I will take a personal interest and make sure that all the MoUs signed here will be realised.
  • Would like to extend thanks to all the delegates, world leaders present in the summit.
  • The government is making policies for farmers, women and youth power.
  • Government's One District-One Product policy has proven to be a game changer and will result in holistic development.
  • This policy will be supported by skill India, start-up India and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana.
  • Investors will see red carpet instead of red tapeism.
  • Two defence industrial corridors were announced in the Budget. One of them will be constructed in Uttar Pradesh. The corridor will be extended to Agra, Aligarh, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi and Chitrakoot.
