Allepo retaken and under government control, says Syrian Army

Damascus: The Syrian Army on Thursday announced that Aleppo city of Syria, which was under the control of terrorists, has been retaken and is under government control.

Army called it as its biggest victory since the beginning of civil war in 2011.

What Syrian Army said in a statement?

• We announce the return of security to Aleppo after its release from terrorism and terrorists, and the departure of those who stayed there.
• The victory constitutes the launching of a new stage in battling terrorism on all Syrian territories.
• This victory has come as a strong blow to the terrorist project and its backers.

With this conquest, Syria’s five major cities including Aleppo, Homs, Hama, Damascus, and Latakia have come under government control. More than 310,000 people have lost their lives during the six-year conflict.
