1090 women power line in-charge removed on flirting charges

Lucknow, In-charge of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s dream project ‘1090 women power line’, Kunwar Raghvendra Pratap Singh, was removed from his post on allegations of flirting with a victim.

An official spokesperson here said that, taking a swift action over the complaint received on whatsapp service of Uttar Pradesh police against Raghvendra, the department removed him from the post of in-charge of the department.

He has now been sent to his parent department, Radio Headquarter of Uttar Pradesh police.

The victim in her complaint alleged that Raghvendra started flirting with her on whatsapp and she got her complaint registered after meeting Lucknow University’s proctor Professor Nishi Pandey, who helped her in meeting Director General for Mahila Samman Prakosht, Sutapa Sanyal.

Later, Inspector General for Mahila Samman Prakosht, Navneet Sikera, found that Raghvendra used his personal whatsapp number to flirt with the victim. Sikera, who has been asked to enquire into the allegation made by victim, will soon file a report to DG.
