On on the occasion of Endo-awareness Day, Saturday, 5h March 2022, the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, King George's Medical University, organized the second All India Inter-Dental college Quiz and Singing competition.

The event was the culmination day of a week long All India postgraduate student exchange programme going on in the department from 28th February 2022 to 4th March 2022 in which 23 postgraduate students from 8 colleges all over India participated.The event was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor KGMU, Dr (Lt. Gen.) Bipin Puri, Padma Shri Padma Bhushan Dr (Hon. Brig.) Anil Kohli founder-president IES, , Pro Vice Chancellor KGMU Dr. Vineet Sharma, Dr. Vivek Hegde President Indian Endodontic Society, Dr RK Singh Dean Dental & Dr Pavitra Rastogi President UP State DCI.


Professor AP Tikku, Head of Department Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics welcomed all the teams, faculty from other colleges & students to the event. Hon'ble vice-chancellor Lt Gen (Dr.) Bipin Puri appreciated the initiative and said that such events not only enhance academic knowledge but also enhance a team spirit. Dr Promila Verma, Dr Rhythm and Dr Rakesh Yadav meticulously co-ordinated the quiz program.


Post Graduate students of Dental Colleges from 31 colleges all over India participated in the eventthrough both online and offline channels for the Quiz competition with zeal and enthusiasm. Maj (Dr)Roma Kotia and Maj (Dr) Shubham Goyal, post-graduate students from Army Dental research & Referral institute, New Delhiwere awarded winner trophy for the of the event, first runner-up trophy went to Dr Sharmila S& Dr Lavanya from the. Dr Ziayaddin Dental ollege, Aligarh Medical University, and second runner-up went to Dr Arya & Dr Alex from Goa Dental college.


The quiz program was followed by singing competition which had participants both for solo and duet categories. The melodious voices of the participants of solo and duet singing competition echoed the atrium and the audience thoroghly enjoyed it. Dr Ramesh Bharti and Dr Vijay Shakya and Dr Pragya Pandey beautifully coordinated the cultural evening. The singing competition was judged by Dr Bhavya Dube, department of Critical Care Medicine KGMU, and Mrs. Sarita Srivastava, Secretary, Rashtriya kathak Committee.
