KGMU's faculty wins National Prize of Randomized control trial competition 2021

KGMU faculty Dr Balendra P Singh and Dr. Kamleshwar Singh won 1st and 2nd National Prize of Randomized control trial competition 2021.Prof. PooranChand, Head, Department congratulated both faculty members and said that he is grateful to Lt. Gen. Dr Bipin Puri, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, KGMU for constant support to the department.

Several entries were received from all over India for the research competition organized by Indian Prosthodontics society.

Dr Shahid A Shah and Dr Balendra P Singh et al of Department of Prosthodontics, King Georges medical university, Lucknow received 1st prize of 1 lakh rupees on the research "Biological and esthetic outcome of immediate dental implant with adjunct pre treatment of immediate implants with platelet rich plasma or photofunctionalization: A randomized controlled trial."

Dr.Kamleshwar Singh and Dr Pooran Chand et al of Department of Prosthodontics, King Georges medical university, Lucknow received 2nd Prize of 75000 rupees on the research "A randomized controlled trial for evaluation of bone density changes around immediate functionally and nonfunctionally loaded implants using 3D CBCT" sponsored by Council of science and technology, UP. This study reduces the treatment time of 3 to 6 months to single day. It also reduces the number of surgeries and restore the various function of patients immediately.

Lt. Gen. Dr BipinPuriVice Chancellor, King Georges medical university, Lucknowappreciated and congratulated the department for doing exemplary work in the research.
