Yogi Minister spoils the party: designates his govt as 'failure'

Lucknow: At the time when Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh is all rhetoric celebrating one year in the office, the shocker came from an insider i.e the Backward Class Welfare Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar who declared his own government as a failure, at least for the poor.

Awarding a misery three marks to Yogi government on a scale of one to ten, the rebel minister went to an extent saying the government lacked on the governance so much so that the Dalits, Backwards and Muslims are being forced to bribe at various levels.

The Minister, whose posturing had posed some discomfiture to Yogi government in the past also, minced no words in castigating his government saying 'it has failed on the aspirations of the people despite getting massive mandate of 325 seats in the assembly of 403'. "The voices of poor are going unheard at Thana level while the people in rural area are compelled to pay bribes to obtain ration cards, toilets, houses and pension," he alleged, asserting, "There is hardly any difference from the earlier regime."

Rajbhar went further quantifying that 70 per cent of population has been at the receiving end while pointing out that the party MPs and MLAs are also a discontented lot ever since Yogi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came to power in the state. "Celebrations or religious celebrations are okay but the welfare of the people is a must where Yogi government looks lacking badly," he fumed.

It may be recalled that in the past Om Prakash Rajbhar had been among controversies over his statements and a prolonged tiff with Sanjay Khatri, the District Magistrate of his home district Ghazipur.
