Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Friday, said that his government has adopted 'zero' tolerance policy in the high-profile Unnao gangrape case and victim's father death in judicial custody.

Talking to media, UP CM said, "We have adopted a zero tolerance policy on such incidents. Guilty won't be spared."

CM Yogi's statement comes a day after Allahabad High Court asked government to furnish reasons for delay in arresting BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who is booked under POCSO Act.

State government, however, has transferred the case to CBI, and left it over the national agency for Kuldeep Singh's arrest.

The probe agency, after detaining Sengar on Friday morning, filed three FIRs in the rape case and the death of victim's father in judicial custody. The FIRs were filed on Thursday night following the Centre's order.

Sengar was asked to join the investigation when he was about to leave for Varanasi. He was brought here earlier on Friday.
