Lucknow: From flaunting tricolour clothes to flags adorning the vehicles, the people of Lucknow sported patriotism with the colours of the national flag everywhere on Friday -- a day the nation marked its 69th Republic Day.

Uttar Pradesh on Friday celebrated 69th Republic Day with patriotic fervour.

Governor Ram Naik, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and several cabinet ministers were among the attendees in the Republic Day function at Vidhan Bhawan here.

Impressive parades were put up by the Indian Army, central forces and different state departments. School students presented colourful programmes and tableaux exhibited development of the state.
