Lucknow: The holy festival of Navratri is about to come to an end. Kanya Puja is performed on Ashtami and Navami, due to which 9 days of Goddess worship and fasting are considered successful. In Kanya Puja, treat small girls as goddess and feed them mother's food. According to Hindu beliefs, the favorite food of Mata Navdurga is halwa puri and gram. In such a situation, the mother is pleased by offering pudding gram and puri in the prasad even in the worship of the girl.

Kanya Pujan special:

Halwa puri and chana are liked by both children and adults. She is pleased by offering delicious and favorite food to the mother. In such a situation, if you are thinking of making pudding gram in bhog to please your mother, then we are going to tell you an easy recipe to make very tasty pudding-gram. Here is recipe of Chana Halwa for Kanya Poojan also you can serve any sweet dish for bhog.


Halwa for Prasad:

1 cup semolina, cardamom powder, sugar, cashew powder, mix dry fruits, desi ghee as required.


Recipe for Halwa:

Step 1- To make Sooji ka Halwa, first heat ghee in a pan on medium flame. Then add suji and fry till it becomes light golden.

Step 2- When the color of semolina(Suji) starts turning light brown, add water to it and keep stirring.

Step 3- When the pudding starts to thicken, add sugar and cashew powder and let the sugar dissolve. Then add cardamom powder and cook it lightly.

Step 4- Now turn off the gas. Your halwa is ready. Serve in a plate from the pan and garnish with dry fruits on top.

Chana for Prasad (Bhog):

Black gram, chopped green coriander, ghee, green chili, cumin, turmeric powder, coriander powder, mango powder, red chili powder, garam masala, salt.


Recipe for Chana:

Step 1- Wash the black gram(Chana) thoroughly and soak it in water overnight.

Step 2- Now wash the soaked gram once again with water and boil it by adding water and salt in the cooker.

Step 3- Cook the gram till one whistle comes. After that cook for two minutes on medium heat, then turn off the gas and take out the gram from the pressure cooker.

Step 4- Now heat oil in a pan, then add cumin, chopped chili, ginger and fry it. Now add coriander, turmeric powder and fry a little more.

Step 5- Later add water to the pan and mix the gram. Then add mango powder, red chili powder and garam masala and mix it.

Step 6- Now heat the flame and cook the gram till it becomes thick. Then turn off the gas and serve it by adding green coriander.
