Monday is the ninth day of Shardiya Navratri which is called Navami or Mahanavami. On this day, Maa Siddhidatri, the ninth form of Maa Durga, is worshipped.

Along with worshipping, the offerings made to the Mother Goddess are equally important. When devotees offer their favorite dishes to the Mother Goddess, the Mother becomes happy and it is believed that her special blessings fall upon the devotees.

On the day of Navami, many devotees perform Kanya Puja in their homes. In Kanyapujan i.e. Kanjak, nine girls are called, fed prasad and given gifts.

Besides, the food offered to the Mother Goddess is also distributed as Prasad. In such a situation, enjoyment has special importance. Know what things can be offered to mother today.

Mother Siddhidatri is worshiped on Navami. Due to this, bhog is also prepared from mother's favorite dishes.

‘Poori’ made from plain flour is especially used in offering. Mostly halwa and chana are offered along with puri and the same is also served to girls as prasad.

Black gram:

It is considered auspicious to offer black gram to the Mother Goddess during the offering. To prepare bhog from black gram, soak the gram overnight. Boil these grams in the morning and then add oil, cumin and salt and fry them. Gram will become very tasty and can also be offered in Prasad.

Pudding:

Offering halwa in Navami Bhog is very auspicious because it is a sweet dish and it is considered very good to eat sweets during worship and auspicious activities. To offer halwa as bhog, first put semolina in a pan and fry it. When the semolina turns golden, add ghee, sugar, cardamom powder and dry fruits to it and mix well. Add water and cook and your semolina pudding is ready.

Malpua:

Malpuas can also be made and offered to the Mother Goddess as part of the puja. Malpua or pua is made from flour and is sweet in taste. These are prepared by mixing sugar, cardamom powder and water in flour. This mixture is put in oil and cooked until it turns golden brown.
