Mixed martial arts is a full combat sport. Do you know why it is called so? It's because the fighters can incorporate any kind of technique from any of the other combat sports while fighting. Meaning, there is no one single technique, it is mixed! For eg - two players playing each other may not be fighting the same style. One may be using Wushu and the other may be using kickboxing. Mixed martial arts or MMA is sometimes referred to as cage fighting because it is based on striking, grappling and ground fighting with your opponent.

We are very proud to announced that we have find very talented MMA fighter Mukesh Chaudhary (Gora) from Jaipur Rajasthan. He has represented India as an MMA fighter worldwide. He specialises in Wushu and kickboxing and has won gold, silver and bronze medals over the years. Our fighter, Mukesh Choudhary (Gora), has his techniques originating in Wushu and Kickboxing.It's a Chinese hard and soft and complete martial art and a contact sport. In other words, Wushu is the correct term for kung-fu because they are essentially the same!"Wushu" is the Chinese term for "martial arts".

In contemporary times, Wushu has become an international sport through the International Wushu Federation (IWUF), which holds the World Wushu Championships every two years among other competitions.

Competitive Wushu is composed of two disciplines: taolu and sanda. But it has other disciplines, like self defense, breaking hard objects, and other related practices, that are not performed in competitions.

Taolu involves martial art patterns, acrobatic movements and techniques for which competitors are judged and given points according to specific rules. Sanda contains boxing, kicks (kickboxing), and wrestling. It has all the combat aspects of wushu.

In the first two decades of the 21st century, several larger kickboxing promotions such as Glory, One Championship and Bellator Kickboxing have adopted the k1/oriental rule set, which allows knee strikes and limited clinch, in addition to kicking and punching.

But let us not get bored with the details of kickboxing and actually start the main topic of conversation - the confusion with Mukesh Choudhary's name.
