Kolkata: In the lines of Brendon McCullum, AB de Villiers and Mandeep Singh's blitz, Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to post 176 against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Eden Gardens here on Sunday.

After being put to bat, Brendon McCullum provided RCB a fiery start. Though, it lost Quinton de Kock (4) early but Virat Kohli along with McCullum capitalised things for the side. McCullum scored quick-fire 43 off just 27. His knock was assisted with six fours and two sixes.

The insane hittiing, however, continued for RCB even after McCullum's wicket as AB de Villiers was in a mood of unstoppable firing with the bat. He scored qucik fire 23-ball 44-run knock. His knock involved one four and five biggies.

Virat Kohli failed to do any special in this game as was back to the dug out at 31. He took 33 deliveries for a slow knock.

Mandeep Singh concluded things for RCB with his breezy 37-run inning. It came in just 18 balls and was laced with four fours and two sixes.

For KKR, Nitish Rana and Vinay Kumar were the leading wicket-takers with two-wicket each. Rana, however, impressed in single over, claiming two crucial wickets of McCullum and Kohli. Rana, not getting another over was, however, bit shocking.
