IPL 11 KKR vs RCB: Dinesh Karthik's captaincy skills exposed

Kolkata: "I am learning," this is what Kolkata Knight Riders captain Dinesh Karthik said during the toss but it seems that road is going to be bit tougher for him as a skipper in the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

In Kolkata Knight Riders versus Royal Challengers Bangalore match, two of his decisions left us in a state of shock.

Take a look at two of his unexpected decisions:

First, he should be praised for his masterstroke of giving ball to part-timer Nitish Rana when AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli were going tremendously well. Nitish sent back both these batsmen to the dug-out off successive balls.

A blunder from the KKR captain came into light when Nitish was not given another over despite the game-changing first over.

Secondly, any able captain could have saved Sunil Narine for the last over and here also Karthik did a mistake, giving the final over to Vinay Kumar who gave away 16 off the last six balls.

It could be said that those 16 runs off the final over taken the sheen off a superb KKR comeback.
