Indian Defence Ministry website hacked apparently by Chinese hackers

New Delhi: The official website of Defence Ministry has been hacked by allegedly by some Chinese hackers, confirmed the sources on Friday.

On trying to open www.mod.gov.in, an error page is appearing which contains Chinese characters.

As per the highly placed sources, the matter has been handed over to the National Informatics Centre for further investigation.

The website is currently offline.

The website has been hacked on a day when Indian Air Force has announced that it is starting its largest ever wargames which focuses on the dual threat of China and Pakistan.
