According to some reports three out of four people are affected with this. In this, some people admitted that they faced emotional problems due to internet failure, loss of mobile and battery drain.

Mobile phones have become a part and parcel of our everyday life. We can’t live without it in the current times because we are depended on it for every little things but slowly it is becoming an addiction too. After some time it becomes Nomophobia.

Nomophobia stands for ‘No Mobile Phobia’ means the fear of not being detached from mobile phone connectivity. But it has not yet proved whether it is a mental disorder or not. In this situation it also effects on person’s mental health.

According to some reports three out of four people are affected with this. In this, some people admitted that they faced emotional problems due to internet failure, loss of mobile and battery drain.

According to a research in Rescue Time, people generally spend an average of three hours and 15 minutes on their phone every day in which some people use more than four and a half hour.

Symptoms of the Nomophobia

  • A person gets irritate when he could not use his phone and feels fear and anxiety.
  • They don’t even switch off their phone for a certain reason.
  • Check their phone every time to see messages and calls.
  • They get irritate without using internet.

How to avoid this:

  • Keep your phone away for a fix time. You can start with ten minutes in a day, in which you will not use your phone.
  • Try to not use your phone while sleeping, eating, watching TV and talking with friends and family members.
  • You can play with children to keep away from your device.
  • Read books, novels and discuss it with other people.
  • You can have a pet with whom you will spend your time.
  • Learn some new activity like dancing, cooking and painting etc.
  • In a serious condition, consult with a psychiatric.
