The sacred Hindu month of Shravan has started from 4th July, Tuesday. This time it will be of two months. The devotees not only flock to the temples of Lord Shiva during this month but also keep fast.

Since this year the Shravan will be of 59 days (almost two months), there is a possibility that those keeping fast feel exhaustion and tiredness. This can result in headache, fatigue etc.

Here are some tips to maintain your energy level during this time-

Keep yourself hydrate-

You should take plenty of water to keep yourself hydrate. You can use lemon water, lassi and coconut water as an option. They not only have plenty of water but also contain important nutrients.

Take fruits and nuts-

You can eat fruits and nuts for energy. You can eat apple, banana, grapes, sapodilla and pear. Apart from this you can also take nuts like cashew, almond, walnut and etc.

Take curd-

To keep energetic and healthy, take curd during the day. You can make fruit cream also.

Don’t eat processed food-

You should avoid heavy and oily food after the fasting. It directly affects your body and you feel tired all day. It is better to avoid oily and processed food. You should also try to avoid more sugar and salty items.

Take proper sleep-

It is important to have sleep of six to seven hours for fit and healthy body. Lesser hours of sleep can result in headache, dizziness and vomiting.

Eat at interval-

Some people eat at the end of the day and don’t eat anything for the whole day. It is not advisable. It can cause dizziness and headache. It is better to take something at regular intervals to avoid health problems.
