In the beginning of the month of November, the fast of Karva Chauth and Ahoi Ashtami will be there for mothers and sisters, then the middle of the month is decorated with the lights of Diwali. The month will end with Tulsi Vivah, Devotthan Ekadashi and the bath of Kartik Purnima.

In this way, important festivals will come one after the other in the month of November.

This time the fast of Karva Chauth will be observed on 1st November. Married women observe this fast to ensure the long life of their husbands and happiness and prosperity in their married life. On this day, women observe fast and break it by offering prayers to the moon and looking at their husband's face through a sieve.

This time Ahoi fast will be observed on 5th November. This fast is observed on the Ashtami date of Kartik month. Women observe this fast to pray for the happiness, prosperity and long life of their children.

Dhanteras fast is observed on Krishna Trayodashi date of Kartik month. This year Dhanteras will be celebrated on 10th November. According to priests, Lord Dhanvantari appeared on Trayodashi date when the ocean was churned. He appeared with the nectar pot in his hand. It is believed that Lord Dhanvantari is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. There is a trend of purchasing gold and silver on this day. Buying utensils on this day is also considered auspicious.

Diwali festival will be celebrated on November 12. Lord Rama killed Ravana on the day of Diwali. On this day Lord Ram reached Ayodhya with Sita and Lakshman after 14 years of exile. Diwali is the festival of victory of light of good over darkness of evil. Mother Lakshmi is worshiped on this day.

This time Govardhan Puja is on 13th November. Lord Krishna is worshiped on the day of Govardhan. The story of Govardhan Mountain is very interesting. According to religious beliefs, on this day Lord Krishna broke the pride of Lord Indra. On this day, Lord Krishna lifted Govardhan Mountain on his little finger and saved the people of Gokul from heavy rains.

This time Bhai Dooj is on 14th November. This festival is a symbol of strengthening the brother-sister relationship. On this day Yamraj comes to earth to accept the worship of Goddess Yamuna. On this day, sisters also invite their brothers to their home and then apply 'tilak' on him and serve him his favorite food.
