Exclusive: Chit-Chat with Very Talented and Passionate singer Mohd. Danish

Mohd Danish is an Indian playback singer. He first appeared in the singing reality show The Voice India in its 2nd Season. He was born in Kirana Gharana, Muzzafarnagar in the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh. He is a passionate singer and has held many stage shows across the country. Coming from the Kirana Gharana in Uttar Pradesh, Danish was born in a family with a musical background.

We interviewed him to gain insights into his success, challenges, and achievements in his life as a playback singer. Read on!

What is the impact on your career during Pandemic?

Everything is going normal these days. Everyone is accepting the new normal. In our field of work, the lockdown days impacted a lot. Now, its a blessing for us that we are fine. The impact of coronavirus is decreasing day-by-day.

Which type of singing you like most?

I like every type of singing, whether it is classical, pop, ghazal singing etc. But my interest is more in Sufi. I like sufi singing. Singing is my passion. As belonging to a family with singing background.

What was the experience of learning with your Grandfather?

I started learning classical music from a very young age. My grandfather Ustad Abdul Karim Khan was my teacher of music since the age of 4. The relation between us was very friendly. I didn't scared of him any day. I have learnt many things from him.

How did you started your career in singing?

I started my musical career from the Television singing show Voice of Punjab; he took part in its 6th season. I went on as one the favorite contestants on the show and reached the finals also. Next, I took part in a national platform in the singing reality show The Voice India 2.

What challenges you faced during the reality shows?

In Voice of Punjab, the barrier was the language. As, I am from Delhi. The punjabi language was tough for me. Then also, I gave my best over there. In Voice of India, there was nothing like that. I enjoyed a lot there. It was an Indian edition of the original Dutch show; The Voice. The completion is between 4 teams guided by a coach.

What was the experience with Coach Neeti Mohan?

I was a part of the established Indian playback singer Neeti Mohan’s team. She is super talented. I enjoyed a lot being in her team. She taught us many things.

Tell us about your hobbies?

I like to do singing and acting. Singing is my passion. Acting makes me feel alive. I hope to launch something related to it soon.

What about your upcoming music videos?

In 2017, launched my first original soundtrack under the title, We Indians. It was launched in New Delhi in the presence of famous lyricist and poet, A.M Turaz.
