Lucknow: Rajiv Rautela, the blue eyed boy of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and currently District Magistrate (DM) of latter's native place Gorakhpur, is among the four IAS officers who will have to join Uttarakhand as their cadre.

Rautela along with Vijay Kumar Yadav , Udaiveer Singh Yadav and D P Giri, has been mandated by the Court to join the Uttarakhand. They, in fact, were allocated Uttarakhand in 2000 soon after the hill state was carved out from UP.

According to an official spokesman, the 11 Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers have also been asked to join Uttarakhand. The officers who were allocated the other state had not joined and the matter was with the court since then.
