Uttarakhand High Court to give verdict on rebel Congress MLAs

Dehradun: Even as the Supreme Court ordered floor test in the assembly during the President's rule in Uttarakhand, the Uttarakhand High Court will pronounce verdict on the case, today, related to disqualification of nine rebel Congress legislators.

The rebel members had challenged their disqualification under the anti-defection law on which Justice U C Dhyani had announced to pronounce judgement on Monday one day ahead of floor test in Uttarakhand assembly.

The Apex Court had said the disqualified members would not be allowed to vote in the floor test if they continued to be disqualified till that time. The arguements in the High Court had already concluded on Saturday.
