Lucknow: Three Uttar Pradesh Police women constables were suspended on Friday for clicking selfie with the acid attack and gangrape victim at the trauma centre here.

The victim was travelling to Lucknow in Ganga-Gomti Extress when two men forcibly tried to make her consume acid. After the attack, the girl was admitted to a hospital.

The newly formed Uttar Pradesh government has taken the issue very seriously, as on Friday morning, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with cabinet minister Rita Bahuguna Joshi himself visited the victim in the hospital to take cognizance of her condition.
