Too late in the day, EC removes Firozabad DM, SP

Lucknow: Waking up from deep slumber, the Election Commission on Thursday removed Firozabad District Magistrate, Rajesh Prakash and district police chief, Himanshu Kumar.

Neha Kumar is the new DM of Firozabad, while Ajay Kumar takes charge as the Superintendent of Police (SP).

Interestingly, the political outfits seemed ridiculed with the EC's action as the election watchdog took no step despite various complaints against the Firozabad DM and SP, who are said to be close to Samajwadi Party (SP) General Secretary Ram Gopal Yadav.

It may be mentioned that Firozabad went to polls in the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Polls on February 11.
