Savarkar family sends legal notice to Sonia and Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: A legal notice has been sent to Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi over an objectionable post on Vinayak Damodar on social networking site Twitter.

The notice to Congress top brass was sent by Ranjeet Savarkar on Friday. He has alleged that the objectionable post has hurt their sentiments, reports said.

What was in the tweets?

• Savarkar was dubbed as a traitor in the tweets.
• The tweets were posted on March 5, 22 and 23.
• The Savarkar family has demanded an unconditional apology from the congress leaders.
