Rio De Janeiro: A loud explosion was heard near the men’s cycling race track at the Rio Olympics 2016 event on Saturday. The bomb disposal squad was immediately called who later confirmed that a controlled explosion was carried out.

The cause of concern was an unattended bag which was kept near the finish line of the racing track.

Meanwhile, there were no injuries and the case continued, as per reports.

In the past few days, bomb squad members have carried various controlled blasts to detonate number of unattended bags in Rio.
