Retired IAS given plum post by Akhilesh Yadav in UP resigns

Lucknow: The new political dispensation in Uttar Pradesh has taken toll of yet another retired IAS officer Raj Kishore Yadav who resigned from the post of Chairman, Uttar Pradesh Sub-ordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) on Wednesday.

Raj Kishore Yadav, considered very close to previous Akhilesh Yadav regime in the state, was Rajya Samatti Adhikari (RSA) before retiring from Indian Administrative Service. He was immediately rewarded for his loyalty with the government and handed the post.

There were lot of complaints about UPSSSC and UP Public Service Commission (UPPSC) with regards to favour to members of a particular caste. Following this, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had called him and UPPSC Chairman Anirudh Yadav.

The resignation of raj Kishore came a couple of day after, he was called by the CM through Chief Secretary. He has tendered his resignation to UP Chief Secretary Rahul Bhatnagar.

According to an official spokesman, the Yogi government had already put a ban on the fresh recruitment through UPSSSC and the government could even disband the commission.
