Lotus blooms in Assam, Didi-Amma retain their positions
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed their government in north eastern state of Assam by winning on 85 out of 126 seats while on the other hand the magic of Jayalalita and Mamata Banarjee continued in their respective states.
The Trinamool Congress amassed 214 out of 294 seats while Amma's AIDMK got 124 out of 233 seats.
This will be first time in 32 years that AIDMK will form its government in Tamil Nadu for the second consecutive time.
