Ramzan's last Friday prayer held peacefully all over the state
Lucknow: The ‘akhiri jumme ki namaz’of holy month of Ramazan was offered peacefully on Friday across Uttar Pradesh.
Stringent security arrangements were made at different places while drone cameras were also used for keeping an eye on the situation. The Shia sect offered prayer at 1200 hours while the Sunni ones offered at 1300 hours.

- Additional forces were deployed at several places.
- The Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) was also pressed into the services and inputs were being taken from them.
- More than 2,000 security personnel were deployed in Lucknow.
- Sector Magistrate at 20 different places were also assigned to maintain the condition of ‘Law and Order’ in Lucknow.
- The district administration of Lucknow and some other districts has appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony.
