Lucknow: Political strategist Prashat Kishor will have a brain storming session with Congress leaders at Lucknow state party headquarters in view of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections on March 10.

It will be his first meeting with the state leaders after having roped in as publicity advisor of the Congress in the coming elections.

The decision:

The decision to rope in Prashant for 2017 assembly election in UP was taken on Wednesday night in a high core meeting of the party in New Delhi which was also attended by Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi.

Khurshid and Beni did not attend the meeting:

All the senior leaders of Congress were called for the meeting but Salman Khurshid and Beni Prasad Verma could not mark their presence.

Congress leaders are upbeat:

On the condition of anonymity a Congress leader here told Newztrack.com that this decision of the party will definitely help the party and Prashant may also be hired for the Punjab polls.

Prashant Kishor:

The young master poll strategist Prashant Kishor played a key role in elections campaigns of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in 2014. He is famous for his ‘backroom operations’ and is well versed in social media and on and off field poll strategies.

Kishor’s CAG and I-PAC:

Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG), an election-campaign group formed by Kishor, helped the Narendra Modi-led BJP win majority in the 2014 Lok Sabha election.

He and some members of the CAG regrouped and started the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) and started working for the 2015 Bihar assembly election for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
