Country joins Pranab Mukherjee to wish Parsis on Navroz

New Delhi: The people of India across the classes, religions and castes joined the President Pranab Mukherjee to wish the Parsi community on 'the occasion of Navroz, the first day of Parsi year.

The President of India, on Wednesday, took to twitter to wish the Parsi community on the occasion of ‘Navroz’.

The President wrote that The Parsis have always played a major role in building the nation. They have contributed immensely to the country’s development, he stated.

Expressing same sentiments the Vice President of India, Hamid Ansari, also wished the community on the occasion saying that the festival reflects the spirit of fraternity and compassion.
