Rich vs Poor
“Gas cylinder was made a thing for the rich by the past governments. Poor were not allowed to dream of gas ovens. I told the people, if you can afford it, give up the gas subsidy. 1 crore families have given up subsidy this is not a small thing” he maintained.
• We are going to provide gas connections to 5 crore families.
• Last year we gave gas connections to 3 crore poor families.
Modi, also patted himself for curbing the rate of corruption in his two years of tenure.
“Has any news of corruption come in the media since two year? Earlier the newspapers were filled with such headlines,” he questioned.
“People are scrutinising my work very closely and they create a furore on getting any loop hole but I am thankful to them, at least they highlight my demerits and I work on them”, he said.
