Gangster Nayeem killed in police encounter in Telangana

Hyderabad: A wanted gangster Nayeem, who was accused of killing a police officer and several Moist leaders, was killed on Monday during an encounter with a police team in Telangana's Shadnagar town.

Mohammed Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem was intercepted by a police team in the midway while he was travelling on a four wheeler.

What police said?

• Mahabubanagar district Superintendent of Police (SP) Rema Rajeshwari said that the encounter took place near a house in Millennium Township, about 50 kms away from Hyderabad
• Nayeem opened fire when police blocked his route
• Police retaliated in which he was killed
• One AK47 and a pistol was recovered from Nayeem’s vehicle
• Search operation is on and more details will be revealed soon
