Miss India runner up Pankhuri sees Bollywood as her destination

Lucknow: “Failures are acceptable, but aiming low is criminal,” inspired from her favourite quote, Lucknow girl Pankhuri Gidwani, after bagging the second runner up place in Femina Miss India-2016 beauty pageant contest, is eyeing the Miss Grand International crown.

“Though I missed it by a whisker but this is not the end of my journey. I am eyeing the Miss International crown and will go through rigorous grooming and training in days to come,” Pankhuri told newztrack.com in a telephonic conversation.

Pankhuri, also the winner of Campus Princess 2016 title, was a student of La Martiniere Girls College in Lucknow but had to drop from her 12th examination due to this event. Bollywood being his ultimate destination, she thanked her parents for allowing her to drop her exam and take up the challenge.

Miss India-2016:

• Priyadarshini Chatterjee of Guwahati in Assad was crowned the Miss India pageant 2016 on Saturday last.
• The function was organized at the Yash Raj studios.
• Sushruthi Krishna was crowned the runner up of the most coveted beauty pageant of India, while Pankhuri Gidwani became the second runner up.
