Different leader different tune in Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh

Although all the top leaders of Samajwadi Party collectively claim that there is no differences in the party, individually they sing a different tune. While Ram Gopal Yadav asserted that all in the party are united on Monday’s re-distribution party tickets for the coming assembly elections, chief minister Akhilesh Yadav did not say anything praise worthy in this regard.

Lucknow: Although all the top leaders of Samajwadi Party collectively claim that there is no difference in the party, individually they sing a different tune. While Ram Gopal Yadav asserted that all in the party are united on Monday’s re-distribution party tickets for the coming assembly elections, chief minister Akhilesh Yadav did not say anything praise worthy in this regard.

In fact he hinted at some action in days to come on the issue . “No body can be sure of developments tomorrow in politics. Anything can happen”. It was not all. “Whoever has got the ace card in politics is the winner”, he added.

Elaborating Akhilesh referred to a play in card game. “There is a card game called Do,Tin Panch which is played by three persons. In this came whosoever has the trump card (Turup ka patta) wins’.

It is being interpreted in different ways. One interpretation is that he was referring to his position . He holds number one (ace) position in the administration. However, in an attempt to play down he added “ politics is not a game. It is a serious business. I have not come here to play politics. I have come here to do something for the people and I have some habits which I cannot change now”.

On the other hand, his uncle, Ram Gopal Yadav, claimed that re-allotment of tickets made by state party president Shivpal Singh Yadav was to everybody’s liking. “There is no difference in the party on the issue”. As regards selection of Amanmani Tripathi who was facing some criminal charges, he pointed out, he was allotted ticket in the past too.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh cabinet which met here on Monday decided to waive interest payable to farmers by sugar industries on amount to be paid to them. Farmers were agitated over non-payment of their dues.

Talking to media persons after the meeting, he said development was his government’s agenda and claimed that no other government had done as much his government in this field.

Defending his scheme to distribute smart phones in the state he said, that would bring people closer to the government and make a new beginning.
