Kalindi express collides with a freight train, several trains rescheduled

Tundla: A major rail mishap was averted when Delhi-bound Kalindi Express collided with a freight train at Tundla junction of NCR (North Central Railway) in Uttar Pradesh. Though, there were no reports of any casualties.

According to the official sources, Kalindi express was en route to Farrukhabad from Kanpur. The collision took place in intervening night of Sunday and Monday.

• The incident adversely affected the train traffic.
• Rescue operation is underway.
• Railway authorities were rushed to the incident spot.
• Driver and co-driver of the train have been suspended.

Some trains have to be cancelled and diverted due to the incident.
