Is Principal Secretary, Appointment a jinxed post in UP?

Lucknow: What is wrong with post of Principal Secretary, Appointment in Uttar Pradesh? Is it jinxed or just a coincidence that three senior IAS officers who have been posted on this post are jail-bound in some case of another?

The retired Indian Administrative Service officer, also the former Chief Secretary of UP, Neera Yadav is in the jail, Pradeep Shukla had been in the jail while warrant is issued against Rajiv Kumar.

All three officers have been posted as Principal Secretary, Appointment at some point of another.

Neera Yadav had to surrender only few days ago in a CBI case related to wrongful allotment of plots in Noida while Rajiv Kumar, a 1983-batch officer is also facing a CBI probe in a similar matter.

Incidentally, Pradeep Shukla, the 1981-batch officer, had twice been jailed in infamous National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) case being probed by the CBI.

It was only recently, when Rajiv Kumar was removed from the Appointment deptt and was sent to a lesser important post.
