Agra: Members of Hindu Jagran Manch (HJM) – the right-wing Hindu nationalist organisation affiliated to Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) – has reignited the ‘Love Jihad’ issue, saying they will make school students aware of it.

“We are planning to conduct workshops in schools for making students from class 10–12 aware of Love Jihad, which is evidently a threat to the society. Moreover, we are also looking forward to starting a helpline to curb this kind of Jihad,” said HJM state vice president Ajju Chauhan while talking to media persons in Agra city of Uttar Pradesh.

What else Chauhan said:

  • We will hold rallies across the country on May 30 and 31, demanding the adoption of uniform civil code.
  • The Muslim population is growing rapidly in the country, which is a serious concern.
  • We will also try to bring the sense of nationalism to the Muslim community.
