Bareilly: The primary education department of Bareilly district went into a tizzy after it received a letter from the Union Minister of State for Finance, Santosh Gangwar, requesting the basic siksha adhikari (BSA) to release the salary of two teachers, who were terminated from the services in 2006.

Teachers Mamta Rani and Om Prakash, were terminated from the service after they were found guilty of submitting fake documents to get into the teaching job by the then BSA MP Kushwaha. Later, they forged a receipt of submitting the original documents.

Gangwar, in his letter written to the BSA Bareilly Aishwarya Lakshmi Yadav, on July 16 last, had requested to release the salary of teacher from 2006 to 2009.

Official sources here said that, the department will now write to the minister apprising him about the forgery done by the teachers.

  • Both the teachers seem to have influenced the Union Minister of State for Finance, Santosh Gangwar.

What Gangwar says:

“I would have written the desire in the letter owing to sympathy but if the teachers are indulged in forgery then the department should take required action against them,” Gangwar said.
