Horrific: Four women allegedly gangraped on Yamuna Expressway

Noida: Six highway robbers allegedly gangraped four women and shot dead a 25-year-old man on the Jewar-Bulandshahr road off the Yamuna Expressway in Gautam Budh Nagar district here on Thursday.

A gang of six robbers stopped a car at around 1.30 am in the night in which eight members of a family were travelling.

They first looted the cash and jewellery and then started assaulting the women of the family, the victims alleged.

They added, "On resisting, the attackers shot Shakeel Qureshi, who died on the spot."

"We are hunting down the criminals. No one has been arrested so far. The statements of the family members have been recorded," said a senior police official.

Several such crimes, including murders and gangrapes, have been reported in the past on the same route and the specific location around Jewar in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, and around Bulandshahr.
