A curious case of missing fashion designer Shipra of Noida
Noida(UP): The role of some close family member is suspected in the case of 31-year old fashion designer Shipra Kataria Malik who is reported missing from Sector 37 of this NCR district since Tuesday last even as the Special Task Force (STF) has been pressed into finding her whereabouts.
''There is no ransom call received by any member so far and the role of some close relative is being probed into,'' a police official said.
Shipra Kataria Malik last spoke to her husband in Sector 29 after which she went missing. Her car Swift was soon found abondoned in Sector 29 itself while her last location was Lajpat Nagar in New Delhi.
Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Javeed Ahmad is personally supervising the matter and in touch with the investigators. '' We have gained some vital clues and zeroed in to some possibilities,'' UP DGP told Newztrack.com.
A case was registered at Kotwali Sector 20 of Noida in this regard and three STF teams had been deployed to assist Noida police, he added.
- Police have formed eight teams on the order on Inspector General.
- The teams includes three circle officers (CO), five station officers (SO) and a team of crime branch and UP STF.
- Shipra’s relatives have also posted her missing report on social media sites seeking help.
