Delhi transport minister Gopal Rai resigns on health grounds

New Delhi: Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai on Tuesday resigned from his post on health grounds.

His resignation was accepted by the party and now the charge was given to his cabinet colleague Satyendar Jain.

Rai, had requested the chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to relieve him from the responsibility of transport department on health grounds as he had recently undergone a major surgery last week.

Rai, who recently underwent a surgery to treat a bullet that had been lodged low in his neck for several years, is undergoing physiotherapy.
