Lucknow: On completing six months at power, the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday released 24-page 'white paper' which majorly focuses on undoings of the previous Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) regimes in the state.

Speaking at the even organized at the Raj Bhavan here, Yogi slammed the previous governments led by Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati in 25 points, and also pointed out the works done by the current Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state.

The event was also joined by deputy CMs Dinesh Sharma and Keshav Prasad Maurya, and other cabinet ministers like Surya Pratap Shahi, Siddhartha Nath Singh, Reeta Bahuguna Joshi, Brajesh Pathak, Ashutosh Tandon, Nandgopal Nandi, Suresh Khanna and Mahendra Singh.

"The state was in a grim situation before March 19, 2017 when our government took the charge. We are launching this white paper on completing six months at power to clear the picture about previous governments' misdeeds in front of the people," said Yogi Adityanath.

"There is a huge string of the exploits of the previous governments from 2003 to 2017. We have focused on a few points in our white paper," added the CM.

  • The previous governments were corrupt and were against the interests of the people.
  • They had left the state in a serious financial trouble.

  • The Akhilesh and Mayawati governments never considered themselves answerable to the people.
  • They were highly insensitive towards the plight of the people.
  • Anti-social elements were getting political protection.
  • Corrupts were being promoted.

Speaking further, Yogi said, "We only got anarchy and empty government treasure in heritage." He also slammed Mayawati for setting up monuments across and selling out the sugar mills.
