Lucknow: Stressing on the importance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swacch Bharat mission, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on the occasion of 71st Independence Day, said children are losing their their lives owing to dirty surroundings and open defecation, adding, "Swacch Bharat mission is the solution of the same."

"Children have been snuffed out at such young age owing to vector-borne diseases, such as encephalitis. Swacch Bharat mission is the only solution of the same," he said.

He said that the governments cannot be the problem, they are solutions, adding, "Swacch Bharat mission is aimed at ridding people of the dirty and filth around them." Yogi said that public should also assist in the noble cause by keeping surroundings clean.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday hoisted national flag at Vidhan Bhawan here. Addressing the gathering, he said that the first battle of independence in 1857 started from UP.

Highlighting the importance of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi said that the route of India's development and growth starts from UP. "India's development is enroute to Uttar Pradesh," he said.

Urging people to stand by the nation, UP CM admitted that Indians need to put their best to strengthen their motherland India.

Saluting the Indian forces, Yogi Adityanath said that security forces are making sacrifices at the border for the nation.

"I want to salute the spirit of those who sacrificed themselves in the line of duty," said Yogi Adityanath.

"In Uttar Pradesh, there will be no place for corruption and casteism. We need to look after Uttar Pradesh," he said. "Life is all about fearlessness. There should be no place for disappointment," he added.

He said that everyone have to learn from the mistakes, ensuring not to repeat the same in future.

Yogi said that children are losing their their lives owing to dirty surroundings and open defecation. "It is due to filth and scourge of open defecation that children die," said UP CM.
