Lucknow: Taking cognizance of the report published by the newstrack.com regarding the vigilance probe order, the Uttar Pradesh government has removed two personal secretaries of Yogi Adityanath.

The personal secretaries- Deepak Srivastava and additional PS Kashi Nath Yadav were removed for exceeding their official mandate and while putting up the file in erroneous manner.

The newstrack.com had come out with the report on how the CM's secretaries ordered vigilance probe into the irregularities while awarding tenders in UPSIDC. The order was against the normal official practice while ordering the vigilance probe.

After the report that the probe order were sent to the vigilance department in a hurry the two names were removed from their posts.

It is to be recalled that the manner, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s office sent the probe into alleged irregularities, had raised many questions because it lacked the normal route adopted in such cases.

According to the followed protocol the vigilance department only takes up the probe when it is sent by the state vigilance committee generally headed by the Chief Secretary. This, however, was a case of rather hurry where the Special Secretary to CM Dr Adarsh Singh sent the enquiry to Director General (DG) vigilance directly with a note which said the matter was ‘serious’ and the probe should be done in 15-days.

If CM secretariat has to send this direction then also it will have to be verified by the vigilance department which does not receive any direct recommendation for any probe as confirmed by the Vigilance officials as well.

So the eyes were raised on how and why the complaint of one of the most ‘tainted’ officer, that too against the superior, was entertained in such exigent way.
