UP Board Results: Girls outshine boys, credit goes to PM Modi, says UP CM

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday congratulated all the successful candidates who cleared the UP Board Class 10th and 12th exams, the results for which were declared today.

Announcing the cash rewards for the toppers, CM Adityanath said, "Girls outshining boys in UP Board exams indicate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Beti Bachao Beti Padhao has brought positive changes in the society.”

It may be mentioned that the pass percentage for UP Board Class 10 results 2017 remained 81.18, while it was a little higher at 82.62 pass percentage for Class 12.

The percentage has dropped by about five per cent from the previous year.

Tejaswi Devi of Fatehpur's Jai Maa SGMIC school topped the high school (Class 10) exams with 95.83 per cent marks, and was followed by Kshitij Singh and Navneet Kumar of Lucknow Public School who have secured second position in Class 10 exams.

Priyanshi Tiwari, with 96.20 per cent, has topped the Class 12 exams. The second position has been secured by Bhawna with 95.81 per cent and the third slot has been claimed by Sonam Singh with 95.80 per cent marks.
