Lucknow: This is no wonder that tourism in Uttar Pradesh has never picked up in the way it should have been. In a major goofup, the religious affairs ministry's official document failed to mention right place of Lord Krishna and Radha, much to the disappointment of tourism lovers.

Vrindavan and Barsana in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh have been notified as pilgrim spots by the Yogi Adityanath government.

The issued document mentioned Vrindavan as Lord Krishna and his elder brother Balram's birth place while Barsana was named as the birth place of Radha.

The mention came as major upset for the state government as Mathura people find Raval as Radha's birthplace.

On the other hand, Krishna was born inside the prison of the then Mathura king Kansa while Gokul is known as Balram's birthplace.

The goofup made by the department was objected by Shri Krishna Services Institute Managing Committee, BJP spokesperson Praveen S. Kapoor and several others. Seeing the fingers being pointed towards it, the revised order with corrections was released by the department.
