Lucknow: Amid reports of a few incidents of poll violence, the fourth phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections recorded an average voter turnout 60.37 per cent on Thursday.

The polling started on Thursday at 7 in the morning and concluded at 5 in the evening.

The highest polling percentage was recorded at Lalitpur (71.44 per cent), while Pratapgarh recorded the lowest at 54.73 per cent.

The district wise polling percentage remains slightly less as compared to the 2012 Assembly elections (60.99 per cent).

The polling took place in 53 constituencies, spread across 12 districts. The constituency with most candidates was Allahabad North (26) and the constituencies with the least number of nominees were Khaga and Kunda (six each).
