Lucknow: In a politically significant statement which may have some far reaching administrative consequences, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday said that loyalty of some officers rested with opposition which was a hindrance in his development agenda.
'' I want to score 100 out of 100 but for the loyalty factor of some senior officers,'' he said while addressing 'Smart Infrastructure Summit' at a five star hotel of the state capital.
UP CM, in the same breath, however, brought Chief Secretary Deepak Singhal into this and said ''is samabnd mein Mukhya Sachiv ki bhi pariksha hai (UP Chief Secretary is on test in this regard. Sounding supportive of Singhal, the CM said that was why he supported the former for his comment that he would not hesitate to send corrupt IAS and IPS officers to jail.
Extending support to the UP CS, he said ''I am sure the new Chief Secretary will do a wonderful job with me to support him in his endeavours. Interestingly, the sources close the UP CM had revealed that the he had got some photographic evidence of a top officer hobnobbing with a very senior leader of the opposition party.
Yes, i am 'under trainee ' CM

- Opposition says I ran the state through proxy.
- Somebody else has been in the driver seat as far as my tenure as the UP CM is concerned.
