Lucknow: The warm Sunday morning came with the ‘Man of the Match trophy’ for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in the customary cricket match played between CM XI and IAS XI during the IAS week.

The Chief Minister lifted the trophy for his innings of 65 runs. The CM XI batting first scored 128 runs while IAS XI fell short of the target by two runs.

  • Gave a target of 129 runs to IAS XI.
  • Akhilesh got the best batsmen award also.
  • UP Minister Kamaal Akhtar got the award for best fielder.

Rs 5 crore spent last year:

  • Last year’s match was organized by Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Department Corporation (UPSIDC).
  • It is being speculated that this time also the same amount will incur on the match.
  • According to the sources UPSIDC will bear all the expenses.
