Hapur: A police officer has been shot dead at Modinagar road in Hapur on Thursday. This is second incident in past 24 hours where a police personnel has lost his life, raising serious concerns over the steep rise in the crime graph in the Akhilesh Yadav ruled Uttar Pradesh state.

On Wednesday, a police Sub Inspector Survesh Yadav was killed in Badaun district when he tried to nab three assailants who ran away to escape from a police check.

Hapur Incident:

  • Police officer Sukhbir Singh Yadav was deployed at Singhavali Ahir police station in Baghpat
  • He was killed at the Modinagar Road in Kotwali area
  • Daroga Sukhbir Singh was shot at his chest
  • Assailants fled from the spot after killing the cop
  • Senior police officers have reached the spot
  • Hunt for assailants is underway

SI Killed in Badaun:

  • Police Sub-Inspector Survesh Yadav was killed in Binawar area
  • Another police personnel Pramod Kumar was shot at by criminals
  • Pramod Kumar was admitted in a hospital in Bareilly
  • Police was on routine patrolling when they were attacked
  • One of the assailants Kallu was injured in police firing and in under custody
  • Rest two fled from the spot
