Against Bengaluru, Punjab Kings (PBKS vs RCB) saw that their batsmen were getting off to a good start but none of them could convert it into a big score. Captain Shikhar Dhawan (45 runs in 37 balls with the help of five fours and one six), Jitesh Sharma (27 runs in 20 balls with the help of one four and two sixes) and Sam Curran (17 balls). 23 runs) played good innings, but despite this, Chinnaswamy's pitch did not perform well and Punjab could score only 176/6 runs in 20 overs.

Star Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman Virat Kohli recorded his 100th T20 fifty plus score. Virat became the first Indian and only the third player overall to do so. Virat reached this milestone during RCB's Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. In terms of most fifty-plus scores, Virat is surpassed by the great West Indies batsman Chris Gayle (110-plus scores including 22 centuries) and Australia's great David Warner (109-plus scores including eight centuries).

In the match, 35-year-old Virat was back to his old best after a disappointing game against Chennai Super Kings. He scored 77 runs in 49 balls with the help of 11 fours and two sixes. He scored runs at a strike rate of more than 157. In 378 matches, Virat has scored 12,092 runs at an average of 41.26, which includes eight centuries and 92 fifties. His best score is 122. Virat is the player who has scored the most T20 runs for India (Virat Kohli Most T20 Runs as Indian Batter in T20) and is at sixth position overall.
